LWCC HOME PAGE

Lower Wharfe Canoe club is a family orientated club, with a base at Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool in the winter, and Bishopthorpe on the River Ouse in the summer. We have a wide range of members aged eight to eighty who enjoy the sports of canoeing and kayaking.

We are a friendly welcoming club that run many water and non-water based events that are well attended. The club has a large number of both adults and children who enjoy the sport and develop their skills onto faster moving water, and into high level competitions through the slalom section, with our most successful paddlers going on to compete for Great Britain at international events.

The club is open to all abilities and it is a great place to come along and have a go at a new activity. To join please select membership when using our contact form.

See the attachment below for our 2022 programme to give you a flavour of our events. It should be noted that events can be added, changed or removed subject to water & weather conditions plus coaches availability, so please make sure you book on our WebCollect booking system to ensure that you are kept up top date on plans.
