Well we are all back safe and sound from an exciting week long trip to Scotland! Plently of fun was had by all and the Fort Bill swimming pool staff got off quite lightly indeed.

So the tally!

The River Spean

3pts - Lee (The Basher) Gabbetis took a wonderfull roll on the smallest rapid of the trip in constrictor.

Aberglasvian Gorge

1pt each Lee & Mark Pooleman - Fighting is a wonderful way of going swimming, and when Lee went in to knock Mark off a wave thats exactly what happened! Lee swam and Mark would have but an excuse about his camera (which later got thrown off a 7m high waterfall) saved him.

The Gary

Nothing to report

The River Etive

What a river and with plenty of swims to go with it! The first goes to Den on Triple Steps (4pts) going over the second step upside down before swimming in the boils below. Credit also goes to Mark Pooleman (2pts) for a hand roll during the rescue.

The next to go was Emma Clayford (4pts) for an impressive swim on Letter Box, forcing a live bait rescue from Jonny.

Tom Maher hand roll at the bottom of Ski Jump (2pts)

Just the one point (1pt) for James Mitchell with a roll on a pretty much flat bit of water.

The most fun however was had on the bottom drop, Phil taking the lead with the 'tuck and go' strategy, he got the hard bit right and despite two rolls (2pts) finally swam after getting stuck against a wall (2pts).

Basher took the next dip, later on video evidence was examined showing an impressive downtime of 11 seconds, and coming up to breath with a some wonderful expletives (11pts)

Emma Clayford roll at the bottom of the drop (1pt)

Unfortunatley James Mitchell, Jonny Grayson, Mark Pooleman and Andy Renwick all escaped unscathed!

The River Roy (Silver Fox)

A bouncy river with lots of water due to the two previous days rain.

Two rolls from Tom Maher (2pts)

James Mitchell missed the obvious (and nice) line down the first major rapid and decided that the stopper looked much more inviting (1pt) for being a muppet.

Emma Clayford for an unfortunate swim in a large stopper, which caused Jonny to take a 2km trip downriver chasing the boat!(5pts)

Phil Mitchell, Lee Gabbetis, Tom Maher all for swimming in constrictor (3pts each), James got out and walked round after 'le batte' took one look and decided she didn't want to do the rapid! Also to Mark for a roll (1pt) and three technical swims due to the 'flat' section actually being a pretty nasty feature (2pts per swim)

So the overall scores!!!

 James Mitchell 2pts

Lee Gabbetis  18pts

Philip Mitchell 7pts

Tom Maher 7pts

Andy Renwick 0pts

Jonny Grayson 0pts

Emma Clayford 10pts

Mark Pooleman 10pts

Den Gabbetis 4pts

James M - getting backlooped in S-bends before rolling back up and going down the final section of the rapid backwards (4pts)

Jonny - Rolling without a deck on, whilst trying to get his waterbottle from his boat which was incredibly funny (3pts)
